I sweep away the clutter so products feel effortless and the content shines.
Fauna Travel is my boutique agency planning wildlife and outdoor trips in Africa and the Americas. I own the voice, the information architecture, and the front-end — a case study in designing a luxury travel brand where the content does the work.
Perch is a living 3D civic dashboard for Austin, inspired by SimCity. The whole city is rendered as an interactive map with real-time layers for weather, traffic, transit, crime, water, power and more.
I'm the former Creative Director at Hideaway Report, a luxury travel publication, where I led a team of designers that produced all of the editorial and marketing content for the company.
A decade of travel writing and photography with dozens of features for the Hideaway Report, and more recently, freelance stories for Texas Highways Magazine.
When Corpus Christi stopped updating its water-supply monitor mid-crisis, I built a public drought dashboard in about a week — tracking the reservoirs' distance to "Day Zero" with clear methodology and plain-language urgency.
A digital exhibit of Texas's ecological history I built during the pandemic, drawn from primary sources spanning 1700–2000. The work grew into a Texas Parks & Wildlife feature and historical research for the documentary Deep in the Heart.
In 2006 I worked as the web-master/art director for the madcap campaign that got Kinky Friedman on the ballot for Texas Governor. I also photographed a number of campaign rallies, coordinated content for the website and created marketing materials.
Shout Science! is a comic storybook app for young readers about scientists and scientific discovery. The app was featured in iTunes and downloaded over 160,000 times worldwide.
Two decades of art direction and design across luxury travel brands, editorial, and marketing — brand systems, layouts, and photography, end to end in the Adobe suite. I set a clear visual standard based on usability and keep it consistent across everything.
I write and edit professionally: feature journalism for Texas Highways and Texas Parks & Wildlife, plus the content strategy behind editorial programs. I research, report, fact-check, and adapt my voice to the outlet.
I build the things I design. I hand-code sites and CMS themes and develop custom tools with Claude Code — from Perch, a 3D civic dashboard, to the theme behind faunatravel.com. Comfortable across HTML, CSS, JS, GitHub, and AI-assisted workflows.
